NEW DELHI: India will not allow any foreign power to disrupt or destroy the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of the land. The message was firmly driven home as India successfully hosted the third G20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar on May 22-24.
Pakistan was again left embarrassed after its rhetoric against the choice of the venue went largely unnoticed. Despite its frantic efforts, most G20 members preferred to concentrate on important issues rather than petty regionalism.
Islamabad’s latest attempt to internationalise the Kashmir issue ended in fresh humiliation for itself. The odd G20 countries which it was able to convince skipped the event due to their own gameplans. A majority of the countries held up the theme of ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ in true spirit.
And for the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, which was decked up in full splendour, the event meant the revival of hope for a better tomorrow. People are now further assured of the return of investment and business to the Valley
