LONDON: Labour Indians organised a vibrant Diwali celebration party at the Taj Hotel in London, bringing together community leaders, figures from the world of business, Labour members and political figures, and supporters.

The event featured prominent speakers, including Health Secretary Wes Streeting MP, Work and Pensions Secretary Liz Kendall MP, Faith Minister Lord Wajid Khan, and Minister for Migration, Citizenship, and Equalities Seema Malhotra MP. Their speeches highlighted the importance of Diwali’s message of hope, and unity, and the rich contributions of the Indian community to British society.

Vice-Chair Hersh Thaker commented: “We are proud to bring together leaders and supporters in celebrating both our heritage and Labour’s commitment to a fairer, more inclusive society. Our celebration symbolises the values of light over darkness and the strength of diversity in our communities.”
