LORD HANUMAN : CHAR DHAM PROJECT

A 108-feet-tall idol of Lord Hanuman was unveiled through digital inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at Morbi in Gujarat. It is part of the ‘Char Dham for Hanuman Ji Project’. The first idol in the series was completed in 2010, at Jakhu Mandir in Shimla.

The project was undertaken by industrialist Nikhil Nanda back in 2008.The construction of the Hanuman idol at Morbi was started in 2018 and it was built at a cost of ₹10 crore. “This is not just a resolution for the establishment of Hanuman ji’s idols but it is also a part of the resolution for ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat,” the PM said while unveiling the idol in Morbi. He said Lord Hanuman symbolises strength, courage and restraint. The idol has been set up in the west, at the Ashram of Bapu Keshvanand ji in Morbi, the PMO said in a statement.
