PARIS: Novak Djokovicon June 9, became the oldest player at 36, to enter the French Open final with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 win over World No.1 Carlos Alcarsz in a three hour plus semi-final.
The Serb reached his seventh French Open final as Carlos Alcaraz suffered serious cramping which torpedoed his challenge.Djokovic will be aiming to win this third French Open title, the toughest of the four Grand Slams in the final on June 11.
The drama on June 9 unfolded just as Djokovic had levelled the third set at 1-1 with the first two sets split but with Alcaraz seemingly in the ascendancy in the sweltering 33-degree Paris heat.
