COCHIN: Already faced with severe scarcity of funds, a further slash in borrowing limits by the Central Government is now set to aggravate Kerala’s financial crisis.
Media reports quoting senior Kerala Government sources said that the drastic slash in borrowing limit for the last quarter of the financial year recently would further affect payment of social welfare pensions.
The state Government is already facing much embarrassment as pension of Rs. 1,600 to over 60 lakh people have not been paid for the last five months.
