SHARED PARENTING

This photograph of shared parenting of a lion cub by Mark Boyd was shortlisted for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2024 People’s Choice Award. It shows two lionesses who had gone hunting, leaving the pride’s five cubs hidden overnight in dense bushes, in Kenya’s Maasai Mara. Returning from their unsuccessful mission, they call the cubs out on to the open grassland and begin caressing each one of them
