NEW DELHI: FMCG company Adani Wilmar on May 1 reported 67% growth in its consolidated net profit to Rs 157 crore for the quarter ended March 2024. The same stood at Rs 94 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Revenue from operations in the reporting period fell 5% year-on-year to Rs 13,238 crore. The company had clocked revenues of 13,872 crore in the corresponding period of last year.
The company said its sales volume continued to grow well and has witnessed strong volume growth in both edible oils and foods businesses during the quarter and for the full year, driven by increased retail penetration.
While edible oils grew 11% and food and FMCG at 9% in volume terms, a significant decline in the export business of oil meals dragged down the overall volume growth to 3% year-on-year in the March quarter.
