QATAR as recently expanded its visa-free entry policy to include citizens from 102 countries, aiming to boost tourism and showcase its rich cultural heritage and modern attractions.

In a move to attract visitors from neighbouring countries— Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman—Qatar Tourism has launched a targeted winter campaign highlighting the nation’s unique seasonal offerings.

Qatar’s visa-free entry initiative allows citizens from 102 countries to enter without a visa, facilitating easier travel and encouraging international tourism. Visitors from these countries can enjoy a hassle-free entry process, enabling them to explore Qatar’s diverse attractions with minimal administrative procedures.

Qatar Tourism has unveiled a new campaign aimed at wooing travellers from GCC countries to experience Qatar’s winter season. This strategic focus on tourism has yielded positive results, with Qatar reporting a 24 per cent increase in visitors. The surge is attributed to the relaxed visa policies and targeted marketing efforts, which have successfully attracted tourists seeking new experiences in the region.

Qatar’s real estate sector has also played a pivotal role in supporting the tourism industry’s growth. Significant investments have been made in developing world-class hotels, resorts, and entertainment venues to accommodate the increasing number of visitors.

Qatar’s winter season offers a plethora of activities. Visitors can explore cultural landmarks such as the Museum of Islamic Art and the National Museum of Qatar, enjoy desert safaris and dune bashing adventures, or relax on pristine beaches along the Arabian Gulf.
