Inspired by Vedas
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had unveiled the ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ or ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ theme for India’s G20 Presidency last year. The theme draws inspiration from the ancient Sanskrit text of the Maha Upanishad, which emphasises the inter-connectedness of all life, including humans, animals, plants, and microorganisms, on Earth and in the wider universe.
India holds the G20 presidency for one year, from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023, and will host the G20 Summit in New Delhi on September 9-10 this year.
