The 100th meeting of various working groups under India’s G20 chairmanship began in Varanasi on April 17. Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Civil Aviation V K Singh inaugurated the meeting of Chief Agricultural Scientists held at Hotel Taj. Speaking on the occasion, Gen (Retd) VK Singh said that the meeting is important as the Government of India has launched several programs and schemes related to agriculture in the country. He said that India can share its experiences in this regard with the world.
The three-day meet is being organized by the Department of Agricultural Research and Education under the Ministry of Agriculture and Welfare. About 80 delegates from G20 member states are participating in the meeting.
