SRMIST Modinagar celebrates International Women’s Day

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) celebrated the International Women’s Day, at its Modinagar campus on March 18. The programme started with ceremonial lamp-lighting in the presence of SRMIST Chancellor Dr TR Paarivendhar, Director Dr Sanjay Vishwanathan, Dean DR Navin Ahlawat, and HODs of various departments. Dr. Ranjana Dubey, Chief Examination Coordinator, delivered the welcome address. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Dr. Manju Schiwach, a gynecologist and MLA from Modinagar, listed several exemplary contributions of women and emphasised how they have ushered in a new society and world through their deeds. On the occasion, eminent women from different sectors were conferred with the Women Icon Award 2023 by the Founder Chancellor of SRMIST. Anchal Mishra, Convener of the programme, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
