NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Mega Integrated Textile Sector and Apparel (PM Mitra) Park in Lucknow and Hardoi will help generate employment opportunities for the skilled manpower of Uttar Pradesh. This was stated by Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Textiles, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Commerce and Industry during a programme of launch and signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of Integrated Textile Park in 1,000 acres in Lucknow and Hardoi districts in Lucknow on April 18.
Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister for choosing Uttar Pradesh under the Centre’s ambitious PM Mitra scheme, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the move is aimed at restoring UP’s ancient glory and making the state a textile hub of the country. He said UP now has a favorable environment for setting up enterprises due to progress made on the law and order front. “Before 2017, UP was known for riots and crime. Today all districts of UP and the government is paving the way for development through airports, highways and proper law and order.”
