BAMBOLIM: The Amazing Goa Global Business Summit 2024, organised by Vibrant Goa Foundation in association with the Government of Goa, had a grand opening here on November 8. The event is set to unlock global business opportunities for the state, said a press release by the organisers.
It will bring together leaders, entrepreneurs, and experts to explore new pathways for Goa’s economic growth and innovation.
The inauguration was done by Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, in the presence of Jagat Shah, Chief Mentor of Vibrant Goa Foundation, along with Rajkumar Kamat, Vinay Verma, Manoj Patil, Arman Bankley, and Rasik Naik of the Foundation.
The day started with Amazing Goa Business Summit, setting the stage for discussions around Goa’s potential as a gateway to global markets. It was followed by Goa MSME Adhiveshan 2.0 that focused on ‘Finance and Innovation for MSMEs’, addressing the role of small and medium enterprises in the state’s economic ecosystem. Union Minister Goyal, in his address, highlighted the strategic importance of Goa as a hub for business and tourism, stating, “The Amazing Goa Global Business Summit serves as a powerful catalyst for economic growth, not only for Goa but for the entire nation. It provides a unique platform for entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and industry leaders to collaborate, innovate, and tap into global opportunities,” he said.
Chief Minister Sawant said, “The main purpose of the Amazing Goa Global Business Summit 2024 is to serve as powerful platform to showcase the potential of Goa and to foster an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and investment.” Guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047, the summit seeks to align with the nation’s self-reliance goals, he said.
