NEW DELHI: The Cabinet on March 13 approved two new Metro corridors in Delhi at a cost of Rs 8,399 crore.
The two new corridors will connect Inderlok to Indraprastha and Lajpat Nagar to Saket G Block and would be completed by March 2029.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the 8.4 km metro line from Lajpat Nagar to Saket G Block will have eight stations, while the line from Inderlok to Indraprastha will be 12.4 km long and will have 10 stations.
The Lajpat Nagar to Saket G Block metro corridor will connect Silver, Magneta, Pink and Violet lines and will be completely elevated, he said.
The Inderlok to Indraprashta corridor will be an extension of the Green Line and will connect Red, Yellow, Airport Line, Magenta, Violet and Blue Lines. It will have 11.349 km of underground lines and 1.028 km of elevated lines
