Team Blitz India
The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) has made significant strides in promoting international collaboration by formalising an agreement with SAI Bulgaria, the Bulgarian National Audit Office, in Sofia.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), sanctioned by both supreme audit institutions (SAIs), aims to strengthen cooperation and facilitate the exchange of auditing expertise between India and Bulgaria, a recent statement by CAG says.
Through the MoU, a platform will be established for the exchange of knowledge and experience among auditing professionals and technical teams, facilitating collaboration in training programmes and mutual assistance in conducting audits, the statement elaborated. Girish Chandra Murmu, the CAG of India, expressed confidence in the partnership and emphasised that the MoU would further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
“We look forward to working closely with you and assure you of our support and commitment to energise our capacity development initiatives and exchange of knowledge and information between our institutions,” Murmu said. The MOU was signed in the presence of Goritsa Grancharova – Kozhareva, Acting President of the Bulgarian National Audit Office. Murmu emphasised the broader impact of the MOU, highlighting its potential to strengthen ties between the two nations.
“I am positive that the MOU will also yield many opportunities for greater exchange of knowledge and experience between members of our SAIs and will also foster the spirit of cooperation and friendship between our SAIs,” he said.
