MUMBAI: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has reiterated his Government’s unwavering commitment to fostering industrial growth and attracting investors. He was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of a multi-level parking lot in Wagle Estate MIDC, in Thane district.
The CM highlighted the effectiveness of the state Government’s shaasan apla dari (Government at your Doorstep) initiative. The scheme has significantly streamlined grievance redressal processes, benefiting over 2.8 lakh individuals. He emphasised his Government’s prioritisation of people’s welfare, industrial development, environmental conservation, and overall progress.
Addressing concerns about the potential impact of the Atal Setu bridge construction on flamingos, the CM allayed fears and referred to reports from environmental organisations, which indicated a doubling in the number of flamingos at the site.
During the event, State Industries Minister Uday Samant distributed tablets to children of MIDC employees, highlighting the Government’s commitment to fostering a conducive environment for industrial growth. CM Shinde lauded MIDC for its pivotal role in maintaining Maharashtra’s status as the leading state in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).
On his 60th birthday, CM Shinde paid tribute to his mentor, the late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe, at ‘Anand Ashram’ in Thane, accompanied by local Shiv Sena leaders Naresh Mhaske and Meenakshi Shinde. Later, he participated in a programme where blankets were distributed to disabled individuals, along with cricket kits, school bags, and loan sanction letters to beneficiaries.
