DUBAI: The COP 28 fever refuses to settle down in Dubai with the diaspora community setting one benchmark after another to celebrate the occasion. Yet another Indian has now set a world record of singing in most world languages to celebrate the COP28 success.
Suchetha Satish from Kerala has performed in 140 languages to raise awareness about climate change at the Indian Consulate Auditorium in Dubai recently. The number 140 was chosen to represent the 140 nations that attended the COP 28 summit in Dubai.
The Kerala woman bagged the Guinness World Record title for the most languages sung in a concert.
Suchetha performed during a concert titled ‘Concert for Climate’ in Dubai, UAE. A video of Suchetha’s performance was shared on Instagram and is now viral globally. Listeners are calling it a treat to the ears.
Eighteen-year-old Suchetha is a native of Kannur and now settled in the UAE. The extraordinary accomplishment took place at a nine-hour-long concert. She surpassed the previous record of 121 languages, held by Pune-based vocalist Manjushree Oak to set the world record.
