THE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has entered into a strategic partnership with Emirates Development Bank (EDB) to launch a financing solution worth AED 370 million for the new AI Innovation Programme. The announcement was made during the third edition of the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) Forum, held recently at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre.
Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology Sarah Al Amiri underscored the UAE’s dedication to pioneering policies and initiatives aimed at integrating advanced technology and AI solutions into various industries. “As an early adopter in the realm of Advanced Technology and AI, the UAE remains steadfast in pioneering policies, frameworks, and initiatives to facilitate the seamless integration of innovative Advanced Technology and AI solutions into industry,” she emphasised.
The AI Innovation Programme is strategically crafted to stimulate innovation, expedite the adoption of cutting-edge technologies within industrial domains, and nurture the emergence of novel sectors driven by advanced technological solutions.
This strategic endeavour is deeply embedded within the ministry’s extensive technology transformation agenda and seamlessly aligns with EDB’s mission to propel economic growth and industrial advancement across pivotal sectors such as manufacturing, advanced technology, food security, healthcare, and renewables.
