Jaishankar expressed confidence in the future of the partnership, reflecting the mutual cooperation between the two nations. “Both India and Russia have taken extra care to protect each other’s interests.” Following the tragic attack in Moscow on March 23, Jaishankar promptly reached out to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to offer condolences. His gesture highlighted India’s solidarity and empathy in times of distress.
“Spoke to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Conveyed our deepest condolences on the loss of lives in the horrific terrorist attack in Moscow,” he said in a tweet.
