Today, on International Education Day, Blitz Education ignites a fl ame brighter than a Diwali lamp! We’re proud to unveil a new tradition, not just a special edition on higher education, but a yearly torch to light the path to a glorious dream of Viksit Bharat.

This year, the fi re burns especially bright, fuelled by insightful research, visionary pronouncements, and transformative ideas showcased in this special edition. As you turn the pages, a thrilling truth unfolds: India’s higher education landscape is undergoing a seismic shift, one that promises to catapult us towards our dream of a prosperous, empowered, and world-leading nation.

Prime Minister Modi’s compelling call for a skilled, globally competitive, and inspired youth resonates throughout these pages. He envisions a future where India’s young minds, armed with knowledge and competencies, emerge as the architects of change. This vision is not a mere aspiration; it is fi rmly rooted in reality. India is riding a robust wave of economic growth, and we are positioned to capitalise on our demographic dividend. Both factors, coupled with impactful government policies, are translating into a remarkable boom in India’s higher education sector. These are not mere assumptions but verifi able facts, as revealed by IMARC’s research, vividly illustrating the fl ourishing state of the country’s higher education landscape. The sector is thriving, powered by a burgeoning youth population and a soaring demand for skilled professionals.

In tandem with this encouraging wave, the Indian government’s strong commitment to transforming India’s education for Viksit Bharat is refl ected in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It is a reform that stands to redefi ne the very purpose of education, moving from rote learning to critical thinking, holistic development, and lifelong learning. It is poised to instigate a culture of entrepreneurship, empowering students with the skills and mindset to become job creators, sparking a boom in the Indian economy.

India’s youth, armed with knowledge and competencies, will be the architects and creators of Viksit Bharat.

Within the pages of this special edition, we venture beyond our borders to present global lessons from analogous successful higher education reforms. By studying the triumphs of nations that have walked similar paths, we can glean invaluable insights and accelerate our own progress. We also highlight the globally celebrated European Foundation for Quality Management framework, capable of elevating universities to the status of world-class institutions.

Looking ahead to 2047, we need to rethink how universities work. Jagadguru Kripalu University is at the forefront of this change. It aims to shape India’s youth into global leaders who are endowed with the ancient wisdom of the East and the scientifi c earnestness of the West.

India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat is being supported and accelerated by the impactful work of our valued strategic ally, RIS (Research and Information System for Developing Countries). It leads the University Connect initiative, with one of its laudable goals being the promotion of collaborations between industries and academia. RIS aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, boosting students’ job prospects, and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in line with the goals of Viksit Bharat.

Blitz Education also recognises that industry-relevant education is not just an option but a necessity. Delving deeper into this crucial aspect, we share trends and analyses that make a convincing case for a future where universities and industries collaborate, co-create, and coexist, nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship.

In totality, this edition is nothing short of a roadmap for higher education institutions to chart Bharat’s brighter future. Within these pages, the narrative is crystal clear—Viksit Bharat’s vision requires careful nurturing in classrooms, laboratories, and innovation hubs. The country is looking forward to those institutions that can dare to dream, initiate change, adapt, innovate and lead.

Throughout India’s journey to becoming a developed nation, Blitz Education will do its best to support the efforts of universities and colleges. This special edition marks the dawn of a new era of partnership of Blitz Education with the higher education sector. Together, let us enthusiastically embrace it, let us shape it, and let us build the Viksit Bharat that our youth deserve.
