BRAJESH PATHAKDeputy CM, Uttar Pradesh
To run a newspaper is not an easy job; it is tough. Deepak Dwivedi ji, owing to his personal traits, has reached unprecedented heights. I know him for a long time now. I clearly remember the day in 1986 when we first met. When I asked him where he was going, he replied that he had gone to meet the Governor. Since then, he hasn’t looked back. First Governor, then the CM, then all those who are in power; his closeness kept growing.
From the time he was living in Tilak Hostel of Lucknow University, he kept climbing the ladder of success. I can confidently say that he is a rising star in the domain of journalism. He has done wonderful job. Along with Hindi journalism, he has picked pace in English journalism. I would like to congratulate him for the UK edition, Legal edition and the YouTube channel.
And, now, the reason why publishing a newspaper a difficult job. Firstly, in the present circumstances, until there is support by a big financier, it is near impossible for an average journalist to undertake such an activity. Deepka ji has managed to bring together everything under unfavorable circumstances, has run the newspaper successfully and brought it here. I want to extend my best wishes.
The general tendency in the field of journalism is that until you are antiestablishment, it is not journalism. But, this is wrong. We should focus on truth. Today India, under the stewardship of Shri Narendra Modiji, is rising steadily. Who could have thought that all citizens of the country will have a toilet? Who would have thought that we will have access to clean water? We all know that impure drinking water is source of all diseases. Taking inspiration from Pandit Deendayal Upadhyayaji’s thinking, every household has been provided with pure and safe drinking water. Who would have thought that each and every household will have electricity? The electricity that we use in our houses to power LEDs and bulbs that same electricity was beyond the reach of a poor man.
Today, India is one of the fastest growing economies. India is in lower middle income group and soon will be upper middle income group. All this has been possible under the supervision and guidance of PM Modi.
I want to congratulate Deepakji and I wish the way he has found success in India, he finds success in the UK as well.
