The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is an apex Inter-University organization established in 1925 to bring all higher education institutions in India to a common platform to protect the interests of Indian higher education and to promote it at the global level.
NETWORK & MEMBERSHIP
Any University, institution deemed to be a university, or institution of national importance shall be eligible to apply for membership in this Association as per the laid-down procedures and conditions. At present, almost all universities in India are its Members and some universities from countries like Bangladesh, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Mauritius, Malaysia, Nepal, Thailand, the UAE, and the UK are its Associate Members.
