NEW DELHI: Stressing upon the primacy of duties, Prof Prabha Shankar Shukla, ViceChancellor of NorthEastern Hill University (NEHU), asked the youth to know the duties before their rights. He was speaking as Chief Guest at a lecture on the book, ‘Modi@20, Dreams Meet Delivery’, organised by Delhi Public Library.
Chaired by Subhash Chandra Kankhedia, Chairman of the Delhi Library Board, the lecture was organised under the guidance of Dr. RK Sharma, DG, Delhi Public Library and Prof. Shailendra Mani Tripathi, member of the Delhi Library Board. Speaking about the book, Prof.
Shukla said it deals with 20 years of Narendra Modi’s tenure, written by eminent personalities. It covers important milestones, key policies and their implementation. He said the book tells us what India will be like on 100th Amrit Mahotsav. The book, he said, reflects PM Modi’s vision, 100 years after Independence and “we all have to work towards achieving it.” Chairman Kankheria praised Prof.
Shukla’s “brilliant ideas” and Sharma thanked him for providing detailed and in-depth information on the book. Prof. Tiwari said the V-C had elaborated upon the book in a lucid manner. The opening remarks were delivered by Urmila Rautela and KS Raju, library information officer, gave the concluding remarks. .
