NEW DELHI: Budget carrier IndiGo has agreed to place an order for 30 Firm A350-900 aircraft, the airline said in a release on April 25, seeking to cement its place as the undisputed domestic leader in Indian aviation industry.
The exact configuration of the aircraft will be determined at a later stage, with deliveries expected to commence from 2027.
Additionally, IndiGo holds Purchase Rights for an additional 70 Airbus A350 Family aircraft, underscoring the airline’s readiness to meet future demands under certain conditions.
“For IndiGo, after successfully pioneering the Indian skies with an unprecedented journey, its fleet of 30 Airbus A350-900 aircraft will allow IndiGo to embark on its next phase of becoming one of the leading global aviation players,” said Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo.
