NEW DELHI: A ‘knowledge worship centre’ has been set at Cherupuzha in Kannur by one Narayanan. A deity in the form of a book has been placed on a raised platform at the centre. The deity conveys the message that knowledge is the supreme god. It also stresses on the importance of being humble and having a broad outlook. To reach the deity, the visitors will have to first cross an entrance building, which has a collection of over 5,000 books. A statue of Buddha is also placed close to the deity.
The unique knowledge centre, established in 2021, can lodge up to 20 people at a single time. There is an open stage for conducting programmes. There is a small hall and a place for eating as well. The ‘worship centre’ which does not have a priest remains open on Sundays and other holidays.
