LONDON: The International Diversity Festival London (IDLF), an event that promotes cultural diversity and inclusivity, will be held on May 29 at the Kensington & Chelsea Great Hall, located in the heart of London.
This was announced at a press conference at the City Town Hall here. It was also announced that this festival will be held in different countries in the near future. A communication in this regard has already been sent to the representatives from India, Turkey, and the Maldives, who were present at the press conference.
Sunil Chopra, former Mayor of Southwark Borough Council, is the Chairman of the managing committee of the festival and Saray Karakus, former Mayor of Enfield Borough Council, is the Vice-Chairman. According to the organisers, the festival aims to encourage, support, and expand active participation in art, culture, tourism, and heritage events. It is also seen as a mission to preserve and promote the values of society in social and cultural fields.
The event aims to promote understanding and emphasise diversity, equality, and multiculturalism. It seeks to highlight how different cultures, beliefs, communities, and groups can come together to celebrate collectively.
Creating opportunities to build a new and strong network by bringing together individuals, professionals, businesses, and social enterprises is another major objective of the festival.
