MUMBAI: Five remarkable individuals, who not only overcame adversities but also made significant contributions to the community, were honoured and celebrated at the 15th edition of Dr Batra’s Positive Health Awards.
Bollywood actress Fatima Sana Shaikh, was the Chief Guest at the event, which took place at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, NPCA Mumbai, on December 8. The eminent jury for the awards comprised Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto; Dr. Mukesh Batra, Founder, Dr Batra’s Group of Companies; Lok Sabha MP Maneka Gandhi, actor Vivek Oberoi; and filmmaker and screenwriter R. Balki.
More than 1,000 industry leaders and people from different walks of life attended the event. They were treated to a captivating experience, featuring musical performances by ‘Swarrange,’ an orchestra that comprised visually challenged individuals. Aamad Dance Centre showcased dynamic performances on wheelchair. The programme also featured an inspiring performance by Narendra Kasyap, who had one leg.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Batra said, “I believe that true inspiration for patients comes from other patients who have successfully recovered. The positive health heroes are an inspiration to millions of others who are sick. As a healing brand, we take pride in unveiling their extraordinary stories, a testament to their true inspiration.”
Rajiv Bajaj – MD, Bajaj Auto said, “I am a firm believer in the science of homeopathy and strongly advocate it, as I have also witnessed its healing power. Dr. Batra has modernised it and taken it to the world.”

Dr. Inshah Bashir was declared the People’s Choice winner with more than 27,000 votes, while Balalatha Mallavarapu garnered over 21,000 votes and Vidhya Y garnered over 11,000 votes. They were awarded with a certificate and trophy naming them as ‘Positive Health Heroes 2023’, as well as a cheque for Rs 1 lakh.
