High hopes for climate & energy outcome as India takes the lead

NEW DELHI: As leaders gather for G20 Summit, experts said there are high hopes on adopting breakthrough regarding the phasing down of fossil fuels which would enhance India’s leadership role.Currently, G20 countries are responsible for 85 per cent of the world’s GDP and 80 per cent of the emissions — failed to reach consensus at the energy and climate ministers’ meetings in July.
