NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is eyeing a record hat-trick win as the NDA went past the majority mark of 272 as it leads in 299 seats.
The INDIA bloc has put up a much better fight than most exit polls suggested. Its ahead in over 200 seats, defying all exit poll predictions
The BJP is trailing in UP as theSamajwadi Party and Congress-led INDA are leading in 42 seats, while the NDA is leading in 37 seats. In Bihar, JDU has come out as the strongest party as they are leading 15 seats, followed by BJP’s 11-seat lead. In states like Rajasthan and Gujarat, where BJP registered a clean sweep in 2019, Congress is set to win seats to register a dramatic comeback. TMC, who, despite being part of the INDIA alliance, decided to go solo in West Bengal, is leading in the state.
BJP-led NDA is now highly unlikely to cross its target of 400 seats as the INDIA alliance continues pushing their numbers further down. Notably, NDA was given 350+ seats during exit polls, which, as per the latest reports, are also highly unlikely for them to achieve.
The counting for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is underway, as the fate of the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) and INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) hangs in the balance.
