NEW DELHI, Feb 16 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday welcomed world leaders, industry captains, innovators, policymakers, researchers and technology
enthusiasts to the India AI Impact Summit 2026, calling it a global platform to bring the world together for meaningful dialogue on Artificial Intelligence.
In a post on X,
India AI Impact Summit 2026, PM Modi AI Summit, Bharat Mandapam, India AI Impact Expo, AI in healthcare and agriculture, Sarvajana Hitaya Sarvajana Sukhaya.
the Prime Minister said the summit, being held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, reflects India’s commitment to shaping AI for the benefit of
humanity. He highlighted the summit’s theme — “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya” (welfare for all, happiness for all) — as a shared global resolve to ensure
AI is developed responsibly and inclusively.
Modi said AI is already transforming key sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, governance and enterprise, and stressed that the summit would
strengthen global discussions on innovation, collaboration and ethical adoption of emerging technologies. He expressed confidence that the summit’s outcomes
would contribute towards building a progressive and opportunity-driven future.
The Prime Minister also underlined India’s growing role in the AI ecosystem, stating that the country is at the forefront of AI-led transformation, supported by its
digital public infrastructure, expanding startup ecosystem, and increasing focus on cutting-edge research.
Alongside the summit, PM Modi also inaugurated the India AI Impact Expo 2026, being organised from February 16 to 20 at the same venue. Spread across over
70,000 square metres and structured into 10 thematic arenas, the expo brings together global technology companies, startups, academic and research institutions,
Union Ministries, state governments and international partners.
The expo features over 300 curated exhibition pavilions, including live demonstrations across three thematic pillars — People, Planet and Progress. It also includes
participation from more than 600 high-potential startups, many of which are showcasing AI solutions already deployed at scale.
The event includes 13 country pavilions, representing nations such as Australia, Japan, Russia, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland,
Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan, and several African countries, highlighting expanding international collaboration in the AI ecosystem.
Organisers expect over 2.5 lakh visitors, including global delegates, and more than 500 sessions featuring over 3,250 speakers and panelists, focusing on the
transformative role of AI and the roadmap to ensure its benefits reach every citizen worldwide.
An official statement said the expo aims to serve as a national demonstration of AI in action — where innovation meets scale and technology connects directly with
the everyday citizen.
