NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Oman Sultan Haitham bin Tariq held a bilateral meeting in Muscat on December 18. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and other officials were also present on the occasion.
Both leaders warmly greeted each other at the Al Baraka Palace in Muscat before proceeding to hold the bilateral discussions which are expected to cover key areas, including trade and investment, energy cooperation, defence and security, technology, agriculture, and cultural exchanges. The two leaders will also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi addressed the Indian community members at Maitri Parv event in Muscat. He also addressed the India-Oman Business Forum.
