NEW DELHI: A decked up Bharat Mandapam at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi is currently playing host to the 44th India International Trade Fair. The annual fair – carrying the theme ‘Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat’ – is immensely popular with all those interested in embracing novel innovations of the India’s manufacturing industry.
Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada inaugurated the fair on November 14, marking the commencement of the two-week event. Jharkhand is the focus state of the event, while Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Bihar are the partner states. A total of twelve countries, including, United Arab Emirates, China, Iran, South Korea and Egypt, are participating in this year’s fair.
For the first time this year, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has put up a state-of-the-art pavilion at the IITF 2025. Speaking at the inauguration of the pavilion, Union Minister for Labour & Employment Mansukh Mandaviy said the IITF has always served as a significant platform to showcase India’s development journey, Promoting business-to-business and businessto-consumer linkages, the fair serves as a major platform to showcase domestic and international products. The first five days of the fair are reserved for the business category while the general public can visit after that.
