NEW DELHI: The Niti Aayog is undertaking an exercise to identify about a dozen sectors in which the country can emerge as a global manufacturing hub. It will also study their export potential and recommend strategies accordingly, according to sources.
“The purpose of this research study is to identify the key sectors in India that have the potential to transform the country into a global manufacturing hub,” according to a press release.
With its favourable demographics, skilled workforce, and increasing economic growth, India can attract significant investments and become a preferred destination for manufacturing. The study will focus on analysing various factors, including future trends in manufacturing, industrial capabilities, infrastructure, policy framework, and market potential, to determine the sectors that offer the most significant opportunities for lndia’s manufacturing growth.
