Team Blitz India
National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval met his UK counterpart, Tim Barrow, for the India-UK Strategic Dialogue in New Delhi last week.
According to an official statement, the deliberations revolved around Technology and Security Initiative, which aims to strengthen cooperation in important and new technologies between the two countries. The two NSAs also delved upon various bilateral issues and explored regional and global matters of shared interest. Post-meeting, Government officials emphasised that this exchange will fortify and broaden the existing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UK.
Back in 2001, during a COP26 Summit in Glasgow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UK’s Boris Johnson forged the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, unveiling the India-UK Roadmap 2030 for longterm cooperation. Prior to the discussion with the Indian NSA, Barrow also met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The two discussed regional and global issues, and also reviewed progress in bilateral ties.
