The Deputy CM also highlighted Pune’s conducive ecosystem for defence manufacturing in recent years.
Participation of large number of MSMEs, private companies, Defence Research and Development Oraganisation (DRDO) laboratories and defence public sector units in the expo reflected India’s progress towards achieving ‘Atmanirbharta’ in defence and integration of armed forces’ requirements, R&D and defence production by public and private players.
Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari also visited the expo on the inaugural day and interacted with the exhibitors to make them aware of future requirements of IAF towards achieving selfreliance in line with the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ goal of the Government of India.
