NEW DELHI: The sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections concluded on May 25. This phase saw voting for 58 seats across eight states and Union Territories (UTs). By the end of this phase, a total of 486 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats have completed polling, with just 57 seats left for the final phase. All 10 seats in Haryana, seven seats in Delhi and the final of the five seats in Jammu and Kashmir finished voting.
The approximate voter turnout was 49.20 per cent as of 5 pm, as per the Election Commission’s Voter Turnout App. West Bengal recorded the highest turnout at 70.19 per cent, while Uttar Pradesh was the lowest at 43.95 per cent., Bihar at 45.21 per cent, Jharkhand at 54.34 per cent, Jammu and Kashmir 44.41 per cent, Odisha at 48.44 per cent and Haryana 46.26 per cent, the EC data showed.
Meanwhile, Delhi recorded a voter turnout of 44.58% at 5 pm in. North-east Delhi recorded the most polling at 47.85%, followed by North-west Delhi at 44.78%, West Delhi at 44.91%, East Delhi at 44.7%, Chandni Chowk at 43.24%, South Delhi at 42.96%, and New Delhi at 42.17%.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, and Sonia Gandhi cast their votes in the Capital.
