Thanking the people of India for reposing faith in the BJP led National Democratic Alliance for the third time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this is the victory of the idea of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and to safeguard the Constitution.
Addressing BJP workers at the party headquarters in New Delhi after the announcement of the election results on June 4 evening, he said, “A third term for the NDA means the strengthening of our resolve for a ‘Viksit Bharat’.” “Today is a very auspicious day and the NDA is going to form the government for the third consecutive time. We are all thankful to the public for this. People of nation have reposed their faith in the BJP and the NDA, and our victory is win of the world’s biggest democracy,” he said.
ECI eforts lauded
Commending the eforts of the Election Commission of India, for carrying out “the world’s largest elections,” PM Modi said the electoral process in the country has reached new heights of credibility and efciency. He made a special mention about the people of J&K and their record turnout in the elections. Speaking on the signifcance of the results, he said, “It’s for the frst time post-1962 that an incumbent government has emerged victorious for the third time.” This election, he added, has been special for the BJP as it has received a record mandate by the people of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Odisha.

The Prime Minister also congratulated TDP President Chandrababu Naidu and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for stellar performances in their respective states. The Prime Minister said the last ten years have been dedicated to bold decisions with a focus on providing lastmile reach of developmental benefts to all. “All the decisions in the last decade have been committed to ‘Nation First’ and an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’,” he said.
Development mantra
Lauding the eforts of the party workers, PM Modi said, “With the eforts of the karyakartas, the BJP has won more seats than the Opposition combined.” He said if you work for ten hours, then Modi will work for 18 hours. “NDA’s third term will see a new golden chapter’ in India’s development and this is Modi’s guarantee,” said the PM.
Stressing how NDA has prioritised the empowerment of the deprived, PM Modi said, “Uplifting 25 crore Indians from poverty is our commitment to foster the empowerment of the deprived.” “Holistic development of all including the SC-STOBCs while also facilitating women-led development is our mantra,” he said.
Talking about the next era, PM Modi said, “India’s next era will be a ‘green era’ enabling green industrialisation.”
He added that India will emerge as the third-largest economy and will also excel in the domain of space exploration like it did during the Chhandrayaan-3 mission. Emphasising that India will be responsible for the stability and diversity of the global supply chain, the Prime Minister said, “India will emerge as the pillar of strength for the world.”
Fight against corruption
On the menace of corruption, he said, “Our fght against corruption must continue and Digital India and technology are critical for this.” He added that dealing with the menace of corruption is a complex task owing to increasing political greed and we must together weed out corruption from India. “The attribute of service distinguishes NDA from others and we will continue to honour the collective aspirations of the people of India,” said PM Modi.
Concluding his speech, PM Modi said, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been the guiding light for us and his 350th birth anniversary will earmark the same.” He added that this year we will also celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution.
