HICKSVILLE, NY: The US edition of Blitz India made a grand debut amidst splendour and prestige at a prestigious event held at Hicksville, New York, on February 25. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Ruchira Kamboj was the Chief Guest at the event, titled ‘Gratitude Gala’.
Hosted by The Indian Panorama to mark 18 years of its publication, the event witnessed presence of eminent members of the Indian diaspora from across various fields. In an atmosphere full of warmth and bonhomie, guests from India mingled with friends and associates based in the US.
Prof Indrajit Singh Saluja, Founding Editor and Publisher of The Indian Panorama, had made sure that the evening unfolded with his personal touch and unwavering commitment to excellence. Rich music and dance performances were part of the lively evening.
In her brief address, Ambassador Kamboj lauded the achievements of the Indian community in the US, describing their journey as nothing short of inspirational. She emphasised the diaspora’s significant role in fostering excellence and innovation globally.

Introducing Blitz India and its Editor-in-Chief Deepak Dwivedi to the gathering, Prof Saluja hailed the newspaper’s commitment to journalistic standards. Speaking about Blitz India’s global forays under Dwivedi’s leadership, he likened their endeavour to Caesar’s conquest: “I came, I saw, I conquered.”
Deepak Dwivedi, in his address, commended Prof Saluja and other dignitaries for aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of global unity and leadership, encapsulated by the motto: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – One Earth, One Family, One Future.
Blitz India, said Dwivedi, had only one objective – practicing “constructive and positive” journalism and spreading the development initiatives being undertaken by the Modi Government in India to all corners of the world.
Four distinguished individuals were honoured for their outstanding contributions at the event. They included Dr VK Raju, President and Founder of the Eye Foundation of America, who was honoured with the Life Achievement Award.
