UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, underscored the leadership’s commitment to fostering peaceful, academic, and scientific coexistence globally at the 2nd WorldSkills Asia Competition, organised by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET) from November 27-29.
The competition saw participation from 31 countries across five continents with competition in 28 skills across industrial, technological, and professional fields.
Under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the three-day competition saw Sheikh Nahyan engaging with young talents, encouraging them to unleash their creativity.
He also lauded ACTVET’s achievements in establishing the WorldSkills Asia Association and hosting previous competitions, aligning with the UAE’s vision for enhancing citizens’ creativity and innovation skills.
Accompanied by Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director-General of the ACTVET and Founder and President of the WorldSkills Asia Association, Sheikh Nahyan received an overview of the competition’s system and objectives.
