NEW DELHI: In a significant gesture of devotion, a massive 400 kg lock, the world’s largest, and 1,265 kg of laddu prasad have been brought to Ayodhya as offerings for the temple.
The lock was made two years ago by the late Satya Prakash Sharma and his wife, Rukmini Sharma, in Aligarh. Following Satya Prakash Sharma’s death, his wish was for the lock to be gifted to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
The lock, symbolising Aligarh’s renowned lock industry, aims to bring international recognition to the city.
Rukhmani Sharma said, “The purpose of presenting the world’s largest lock at the feet of Lord Ram is to represent Aligarh on an international platform,” anticipating that visitors to Ayodhya would appreciate the craftsmanship, thereby boosting the lock manufacturing industry in Aligarh.
In a separate offering, 1,265 kg of laddu prasad was sent from Hyderabad, prepared by Sri Ram Catering Services.
