During his interaction with Japan’s Vice Foreign Minister Masataka Okano, Kwatra embarked on a comprehensive dialogue, spanning over the entirety of bilateral relations.

They took stock of the remarkable journey of the Special Strategic & Global Partnership over the past decade and explored avenues for further enhancement.

Kwatra also engaged in a foreign office consultation with Takehiro Funakoshi, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs. They deliberated on regional dynamics and burgeoning India-Japan cooperation within the Indo-Pacific.

The Foreign Secretary made use of the opportunity and explored semiconductor co-creation prospects in India with Tetsuro Higashi, Chairman of Rapidus, and Atsuyoshi Koike, President of Rapidus.

He also engaged with Shin Hosaka, Vice Minister of International Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. Their discourse was centred around the facilitation of bilateral trade and investment, fostering resilient supply chains, and promoting collaboration in critical and emerging technologies.
