PRIME Minister Narendra Modi presented the first-ever National Creators Award at Bharat Mandapam here on March 8 and had a brief interaction with the winners.
The award is an effort to recognise excellence and impact across domains, including storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, and gaming among others, he said, and added “National Creator Awards is giving identity to the new era before its onset”.
The National Creators Award 2024 received over 1.5 lakh nominations across a wide range of 20 categories, with a staggering 10 lakh votes cast during the selection process. In the end, 23 winners were chosen, including three international creators.
