NEW DELHI: THE Bharat Tribes Fest 2026, a national platform celebrating the rich cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial spirit of India’s tribal communities, was inaugurated on March 18 at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi. Being organised by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, in association with the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India, it will continue till March 30.
The festival brings together tribal communities and enterprises from across the country, offering a vibrant and immersive showcase of handicrafts, handlooms, forest produce, and traditional cuisines. A major highlight of the festival was the launch of the signature RISA brand and the inauguration of the Signature Pavilion, showcasing curated tribal textiles and crafts developed through collaborations between leading designers and tribal artisans.
Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram inaugurated the festival in the presence of Vietnam’s Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and Vice-Minister Y Thong. Speaking on the occasion, he said: “The festival serves as an important national platform to showcase tribal art, crafts, handlooms, cuisine and enterprises while strengthening market linkages for tribal artisans and entrepreneurs.”
