Dreamers dream; screamers scream; complainers complain; builders build; and present and future generations reap the benefits and enjoy the fruits. To materialize the perception of new India, we must lay out the vision and chart out the mission.
We must utilise our strengths to the maximum, thinking that there is no tomorrow. We can only work in the present, which is today. Today is the mother of the future. New India will be built on the foundation ofits strengths.
What are the strengths of lndia?
The strength of India’s ancient culture is more relevant today than it was at any point in the past. We notice political families have ruled parts of the country, or even India as a whole, and continue to push their claims to do so in future. They have no place in New India unless they earn it by their karmas.
Why is India’s ancient culture so strong or powerful? What makes a nation powerful? The answers might include mighty defense forces and the armaments.
The most powerful thing in this world is the ‘thought’ or an ‘idea: A thought or an idea cannot be destroyed by any weapon the humankind has developed to date. No barriers or boundaries can stop a thought or an idea from entering any region, space, or a country. For instance, Buddhism entered China without any violent or forceful action.
The vision of New India reveals India as the most advanced, developed, and prosperous nation. To achieve that status, we must devote and dedicate our minds to add value to our resources or what we have. We must become ‘the manufacturer of the world; which fulfills the needs of the world. We must use our natural resources, and import resources from other countries, as necessary. By converting raw materials into products, we add value.
After Richard Nixon went to China in 1972, China started on the path to become the manufacturer of the world. We know what China is today. They are the manufacturers of the world.
What did India do? India has become the ‘office of the world: There is prosperity in becoming the office of the world, but not as much as it is in becoming the manufacturer of the world. India has great minds to innovate; engage in research and development (R&D); design products and means; and extend supportive services for creating a satisfactory experience for internal and external customers. India has won hearts and minds of the world by providing office services. It is not enough. The public and private investment in innovation and R&D must be increased to materialize the vision of new India.
New India must now become the manufacturer of the world and hone and enhance its office services. India has no parallel in information technology (IT ), as part of office services.
We need innovative thinking to materialize our vision of New India. We need noble thoughts to overcome the narrow minded and divisive thinking. It is good to know and see India becoming a mixing bowl, wherein new generations migrate from one region to another in search of opportunities. We do not want divisive small and large silos to exist next to each other. Our vision of new India is one silo, wherein all live as Indians.
India has the biggest asset of young Indians. The average age in India is 28 years. No other nation has this vast and vibrant resource, which can change India in no time provided we engage their abilities and capabilities in forward looking innovative projects. India lives in villages. The new India must empower all innovators to initiate, implement, and accomplish their goals in the form of new industry, institutions, organizations, products, services, and other resources in and around villages and other underdeveloped areas.

It is incumbent upon the local, state, and Central Governments, and private sector to ensure that no entrepreneur faces obstacles and impediments in pursuing his or her mission. Based upon the merits of their innovative ideas, vision, and mission, needed finances and other resources must be made available to them. In new India, all development and progress must be appropriately distributed to benefit those who need it the most. It is envisioned that such an approach would minimize migration of villagers to already overcrowded cities.
India has made noteworthy progress in the field of education. However, a lot more needs to be done. All scientific and technical institutions must have the latest and advanced laboratory facilities to perform necessary research and development work to validate their bright ideas or solve practical problems to help and support relevant industries. Vision of education in new India requires educational institutions to be free from political influence and interference, and free from religious tints and tones.
Let there be separate and independent religious educational institutions to produce religious scholars who may preach and practice their religious philosophies freely and independently but must promote national unity through their noble deeds.
New India demands modernised infrastructure to bring people close and together. The transportation sector has been making commendable progress and it must stay on track and strive to set new and exemplary milestones.
The world famous hospitality of India coupled with ancient and modern historical monuments offer an opportunity to promote tourism. The world is practicing Yoga, which is the first step towards spirituality. The upgraded and modernized infrastructure will not only attract tourists from other countries but also attract the attention of Indians at home also to travel and see India. It would promote internal tourism.
We must keep dreaming and visualizing a superior vision as the wheels of time roll on. We cannot stand still; change is constant. We must keep rolling with time; and keep changing to stay new.
