NEW DELHI: A six-decade legacy has found a new address – and a new generation of energy. Moets, one of South Delhi’s enduring names in the restaurant and hospitality space, has extended its footprint to the heart of Connaught Place, stepping into the company of some of the Capital’s most established dining brands.
The new outlet comes a few weeks after the opening of its East Delhi restaurant, signalling an ambitious new phase for a brand that has evolved with Delhi while staying rooted in its heritage. More significantly, the expansion reflects the third generation of Bindras’ growing role in carrying the Moets legacy forward – blending the traditions and values that built the brand with a contemporary vision.
At Moets CP, a refined décor, inviting ambience and thoughtfully curated menu come together to create an experience that is both elegant and effortless. The food stands out for the familiar Moets quality, freshness and well-balanced flavours, with every dish reflecting careful attention to detail. A classy setting complemented by warm hospitality makes it a restaurant worth returning to.

Tracing brand journey
Established in 1965 by Priti Pal Bindra, Moets began its journey with a cold storage outlet in Defence Colony market in South Delhi. The outlet specialised in premium meat products. In 1969, the first Moets barbecue restaurant was launched. Inspired by the famous Bukhara-style barbecue traditions and the kabab culture of that era at The Ashok, the restaurant introduced Delhi diners to an exciting range of tandoori specialties.
A few years later, Sandeep Bindra, after graduating from the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management Pusa, joined the business and expanded the Moets footprint significantly. Under his leadership, several new restaurant concepts were introduced, including Stone Shack, Sushi, and a Chinese restaurant in Civil Lines on Alipur Road.
The next generation of the family, Rahil Bindra and Mehreen Bindra, further strengthened the business. Bringing fresh ideas and international exposure, they expanded both the restaurant and outdoor catering divisions.
While Mehreen joined her father’s business after completing her MBA from Wolverhampton University in the UK, son Rahil brought a wealth of operational excellence and leadership to the family’s F&B legacy. He is an alumnus of IHM-Aurangabad with a Master’s in Hospitality from the University of Wolverhampton.

West and East Delhi
In the first quarter of this year, Moets opened two new 100+ seater fine-dine specialty restaurants in large formats, one in Rajouri Garden, West Delhi, and the other in Preet Vihar, East Delhi. The East Delhi launch marked a long-awaited entry into a market that had been demanding the brand for years.
But the expansion didn’t stop at the core brand. Recognising shifting food trends, the third-gen duo launched two new verticals under the Moets umbrella. Dirty Dough Pizza by Moets, an Italian pizzeria, is already running five outlets. Alongside it, an American-style smash burger brand, Bomb Burgers is also operating five outlets and growing.
With these new concepts, Moets has also moved into franchising, a strategic step to take the 60-year legacy beyond the national Capital while keeping the family-run values intact.
Alongside, Moets has also evolved into an established name in catering business. What began as catering for small house parties, gradually transformed into a large-scale outdoor operation. Today, Moets caters to weddings, corporate events, Government functions, social gatherings, and prestigious events for the Indian Army and leading clubs across Delhi and the NCR.
Trusted for generations
Talking about the all-round expansion of the Moets brand, Mehreen says, “This was started by my father, with love and support from our grandfather and it’s a family-run business which we are taking forward.” “My brother and I are looking at expanding this name in a big way, but the heart of the brand remains the same – good food and the trust Delhi has placed in us for generations.”
From a 1965 eatery to multi-brand, multi-location growth in 2026, the story of Moets is one of continuity and change. As Mehreen and Rahil write the next chapter, they provide testimony to the fact that legacy businesses can evolve without losing the flavour that made them iconic.
