DUBAI recently hosted the 28th International Sindhi Conference, organised by the Alliance of Global Sindhi Associations, a platform dedicated to preserving and promoting Sindhi traditions on the global stage.
UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, V. Muraleedharan, Consular General of India in Dubai, Satheesh K Sivan, Chairman of Nikai Group Paras Shahdadpuri attended the celebration.
Muraleedharan, in his address, invited the community to continue making meaningful contributions during the ‘Amrit Kaal’, acknowledging their successful businesses worldwide, fostering economic ties and crosscultural exchanges.
The conference served as a global congregation for Sindhis to honour their language, culture, and historical legacy, tracing back to the Indus Valley Civilisation, spanning 6,000 years. During the event, a special award in tribute to Vashu Shroff was announced for his contributions to Sindhi society.
