THE temperatures may be a scorching 40°+ C (104°+ F), but Dubai remains the hot destination it always is. So, what’s there for the travellers to do in Dubai this June?

There would be bargains to be had and queue-free attractions to enjoy, reveals Dubai Travel Planner – a team of bloggers who have lived in the emirate for a combined period of over 25 years. The group, which claims to “know Dubai”, adds that it will be a good time to pick up a bargain accommodation from June through to August.

Waterparks and water-based attractions remain quite busy in June too, but the bloggers have shared some indoor attractions like live music, theatre, and comedy. Among interesting shows, they share, are the tribute act ABBA REUNION on board the QE2 on June 14-15, fivetime platinum artist Amr Diab going live at the Coca-Cola Arena on June 18, while the next day, The Ocean, Berlin’s post-metal powerhouse, will rock the P7 Arena in an unmissable show for metal fans.

Rumour has it, as posted on Dubai Travel Planner, that June 28 and 29 will see the UK’s number 1 Adele tribute act, Helen Ward-Jackson, rolling in the deep on the QE2.

La Perle, a mesmerising acrobatic show featuring hydraulics, pyrotechnics and motorbikes, continues to run in Al Habtoor City. And Pluma, the ultimate circus experience at Dubai Festival City is on until June 20. These apart, there will be temporary exhibitions like Immersee: Digital Art by Danny Rose – a captivating experience featuring blend of light, sound and imagination, running at Sustainable City until June 23.

For the sports lovers, EUFA Euros 2024, which will take place from June 14 to July 14, will be on screens at many of the city’s best sports bars and lounges. For more hands-on sporting action, Dubai Sports World will take over the exhibition halls at the Dubai World Trade Centre for this annual summer event starting June 22.

And not to miss are the traditional performances and activities throughout the city expected on the occasion of Eid Al Adha from June 16 18. This is not an exhaustive list, the rest can be spotted – where else, but – in Dubai.
