KOTTAYAM: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Kerala next month as part of the efforts to organise and coordinate the ruling alliance strategy for this southernmost state.
Informing the Prime Ministerial visit plan to the state, Kerala BJP chief K Surendra told the press that the occasion will also see a meeting of the Centre’s ruling NDA alliance and its leaders for the first time in Kerala.
Besides PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, party national president JP Nadda and other senior leaders of NDA alliance will be in the state for the meeting and it would kick- start the Lok Sabha poll campaign for BJP and its allies, he added.
NDA alliance leaders are planning foot marches across all Lok Sabha constituencies in January ahead of PM Modi’s visit to build awareness among people regarding the Centre’s people- friendly development policies. In a major push to garner Christian votes in the state, BJP leaders have also envisaged a door- to- door visit in December carrying the development report of the Modi government.
They would also pass on the Prime Minister’s Christmas message. “Not just the BJP leaders but all the leaders of the NDA will visit Christian houses across the state with the Prime Minister’s message,” Surendran told the press.
He said they would utilise the opportunity to list out various programmes being planned by the NDA ahead of the upcoming general elections.
