VARANASI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 20 inaugurated RJ Sankara Eye Hospital in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, in Uttar Pradesh.
Operated by Kanchi Math, the hospital will provide comprehensive consultation and treatment for various eye conditions, benefiting residents from 20 districts in eastern UP, as well as those living in the border areas of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
On the occasion, Jagadguru Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, said the nation is making great strides and a key factor behind this progress is strong leadership. He said it is a blessing from God to have good leaders like PM Modi amongst us and God is getting great works done through PM Modi.
He coined an acronym – ‘Narendra Damodardas ka Anushashan – for governance of the NDA Government, a model of governance that is focused on the safety, convenience, and wellbeing of the citizens. Shakanracharya said PM Modi understands the challenges being faced by a common man and, therefore, he works towards eliminating them.
He said the NDA Government works for citizens with compassion, and cited the example of Covid-19 when the Government didn’t let any citizen sleep hungry and fed everyone.
He said that the NDA Government is a role model for governance. With rising status and a bright future, India would give a fillip to global peace, he added.
