WASHINGTON: Boeing has announced a $100 million investment in infrastructure and programs to train pilots in India, news agency Reuters reported citing a White House statement on June 24.
This investment comes after Air India signed orders of over 200 jets earlier this week from Boeing, which include 20 787 Dreamliners, 10 777Xs, and 190 737 MAX narrow body aircraft.
Earlier, a Bloomberg report said that both Boeing and Airbus have mammoth tasks to build those planes as they are struggling with various issues ranging from engine problems to semiconductor shortages to glitches with suppliers to disruptions caused by the war in Ukraine.
